Holi brings a joyful atmosphere, the colours lingering long after the festival is over. Nature too, it seems to rejoice at the arrival of Holi and wears its best clothes. The mood permeated to our Pre-Primary Section where the students played with colours with gusto.

 

The field trip to Tank Band and railway station was also a big hit. Though children do visit these places quite often with their family but the fun in going with friends and teachers is totally different.

 

The fun and excitement was followed by students having their first round of Cool Cool Dip in the pool this week. This continues next week too.

 

Our Presentations :

The myriad ways by which man moved from one place to another was the underlined theme of this fortnight.

 

The amazing world of Airplanes was exhibited by Cambridge I.  The advantages of Waterways was enacted by Chipmunks PP I E.  We have understood very well the way they work. Thank you children!

 

 

If this was not enough the fortnight had more to offer. ‘The Hic-Hic-Hic’, our younger folks put up a hilarious story of the elephant who kept getting the hiccups. The Kitties had their entire audience laughing and applauding.

 

The week unfolded to reveal the colourful world of fabrics, their varieties and textures. The Pandas of PPII took all of us to a glamorous Fashion Parade where children came in dresses that ranged from crispy cottons to shiny silks. They took us to the ancient times when the only way to cover our body was leaves.

 

Eye Checkup : An eye checkup was conducted by the doctors from Lotus Hospital. Students will be given their cards in a short while.

Graduation Ceremony :

The tiny tots of Pre-Primary will be stepping into the Primary Section. An in-house Graduation ceremony has been scheduled for 17th March 2010. We regret that we will not be able to invite the parents for the same.

Half Day School :

·   Half day schools begin from 11th March 2010.

·   School will get over at 12.30 p.m. because of which lunch will be discontinued. Students can bring a snack that they can have before boarding the bus.

·   Morning routes will be followed both for pickup and drop. Students coming by own conveyance should be picked up at 12.20 p.m.

·   Buses will leave at 12.30 p.m. The arrival time of the bus at the point may be calculated accordingly.

 

Important Dates :

·   End of the Session break                                      : 21st March to 28th March.

·   Orientation for PP I (Nursery going to PP I)      : Friday, 26th March 2010.

·   New academic session starts on                           : Monday, 29th March 2010.

·   Summer vacation starts from                               : Saturday, 10th April 2010.

·   School reopens on                                                   : Monday, 14th June 2010.

 

Points to Note :

·   Parents who are expecting transfer from Hyderabad are requested to inform the office and complete withdrawal formalities latest by 26th March 2010.

·   ID card format has been given to your child. We hope that the same has been filled and handed over to the Class Teacher along with Rs.40/- and a recent photo of your child in school uniform.

·   We are sorry we will not be able to provide conveyance or lunch facility to students who have not returned the note regarding the same which was given about 10 days ago.

·   16th March 2010 will be a holiday on account of Ugadi.
