   In The Beginning.....

From a modest beginning as a Nursery School in 1989, CHIREC has established itself into a full-fledged public school. CHIREC is an acronym for Children's Recreation Centre.

In April 1989, a unique Summer Camp was started by CHIREC which offered  professional coaching in fine arts, performing arts, computers and various indoor  and outdoor sports; all under one roof for children between 3 and 12 years of  age.

 
The concept of the summer camp was highly appreciated by children, parents and educationists. Encouraged by the success of the Summer Camp, CHIREC Nursery School was started in June 1989, as the first step in the implementation of the Public School Project.

Through the years.....

1993
As the classes and strength of the school increased CHIREC expanded to two branches - Jubilee Hills and Begumpet.

1996
Inauguration of Integrated Campus by the then Chief Minister at Kondapur. A sprawling eco-friendly campus of 6 acres located far from the madding crowd. The classes held here were from Nursery to Class IV and each year new classes were added.

2001
1st batch of CBSE Class X graduates out with exemplary results.

2004
Senior Secondary classes were introduced and a new Jubilee Hills Branch exclusively for Pre-Primary was inaugurated.

2008......CHIREC celebrates 20 years of its existence.

CHIREC reinvents itself with a brand new logo created by our students who have also written the lyrics for our new school song.

As part of the 20 years celebration CHIREC plans to host 20 events through out the year involving students, parents, teachers and the community. The first of such events was the Inter School Cultural, Literary and Sports Extravaganza which spanned two days the 28th and 29th November 2008. The theme for this event was Synergize to Succeed and this Interschool meet was unique because the participants from schools around Hyderabad were reorganised in such a way that each team comprised of members from different schools.
