ACHIEVEMENTS
Dear Principal mam, Vice Principal mam, Coaches Shekhar Sir and Srinivas Sir, teachers and staff members,
By the grace of God and the blessings of the school, Kaushal Sumedh Paruvelly, ex student of Chirec school (X passed out in 2011) has been awarded twice Man of the Match award and also Man of the Series award for the Coco Cola Under 16 Cricket tournament. The finals were held yesterday. Kaushal's team i.e Wesley Jr College has won the trophy.
I am forever grateful to the school for the cricket training he has received under Shekhar sir and Srinivas sir. I am very grateful to the management for giving special permission and
exception to Kaushal while in school.
I hope he will make his school always proud of him wherever he is and whatever he does.

Prash Joshi of Class VIC has been selected to represent Andhra Pradesh in the under 13 age category in the forthcoming National badminton championship to be held in Delhi in December.
In the field of sports, the cricket team selection (regional) saw our own Saif Ali (XII) grab all the limelight.

CBSE Cluster –VII Table Tennis Championship – 2011-12 -
In the Team Championship CHIREC under-19 boys secured the 1st place defeating Sindhi Public School, Bangalore in finals. The team comprised of Purna Srivatsa (X), Arsh Agarwal (X) and Manish Choudhary (XII)
.In individual Under-14 boys Aditya Shashidar Rao (VIII) secured 2nd place and Purna Srivatsa secured 3rd place in Under-19 boys.
They participated in the Nationals at Varanasi in October, 2011.

The team of Ankita Gaur (XIA), Anubhuti Singh (XIA), Bharadwaj Sastry (XIIC) and Venkat Arun Rao (XIIC) was placed second in ‘INDIA DEBATES’ organized and conducted by the British Council at Chennai . Their essays were short listed from 420 school applicants, then invited to INDIA DEBATES at IIT, Madras, went through the knock out round between 12 schools and group debate round between 6 schools, building on their confidence and chances and finally entering the finals , gave it their best shot, and let the winner know it was close, tough and nerve wracking and one fine platform to debate the role of civil society in a democratic set up. Anna Hazare and the Telangana issue had to get a mention!! KUDOS TEAM!!!

Indian National Brain Bee
Indian National Brain Bee:
Mallika Sridhar of XII A was a finalist (among the top three) in the Indian National Brain Bee. The Indian National Brain Bee was held on the 23rd and 24th of April, 2011 at Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh (PGIMER, Chandigarh). Mallika says, “It was a really amazing experience and I’m glad that I made it there!” Way to go, Mallika! |

Rithika Reddy (VI C) took the Runners position in the Chess Championship of Under – 14 category.
Its not only the students, but our very own faculty member Aslesha Hajirnis who represented the State Veteran team at Pudicherry Nationals and brought home some medals in the Track and Field events.
