Striving for Excellence

FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

"An educational system isn’t worth a great deal if it teaches young people how to make a living but doesn’t teach them how  to make a life ." Author unknown.

Our mission statement declares that we will aspire for academic excellence yet holistic development of each student through fun – filled, innovative teaching strategies. This means that your child will secure support and encouragement   while learning through a range of interactive activities. This will also ensure that the latent talent is identified in the classroom, sports field, music or art class.

Nine tenths of education is encouragement and your child will not be found wanting in this regard.  Ample support   will be provided for emotional and intellectual development.

We will also strive to provide education which is value based. Values are getting increasingly eroded by temptations which children, at their tender age, are unable to resist. We will endeavour to teach them to stand by their convictions and core human values and resist these demonic pulls.
We will try to inculcate in them the value of hard work, responsibility, time management and sense of justice.

We create a safe environment within which, the students are free to explore, discover and develop their capacities to meet the challenges of the 21st century. A Chirecian can be identified in the melee by the confidence exuded in overcoming challenges.

Open and free communication is imperative to address issues which might cause misunderstanding. Let us communicate in a positive manner to help each other cope with situations.

Every organized community requires guidelines and CHIREC is no exception. Rules  enable us to live our lives as civilized people who are conscious of their rights and duties and others’ too. As Aristotle has said, “It is the  mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.”

A hallmark of any human being is self esteem and at CHIREC it can be achieved only by earning it and not by any perceived birthright. Learning is a sacred activity and everthing in this school will reflect learning’s elevated status. This includes the dignity of speech and the turnout of the  students .

Finally, in the words of George Bernard Shaw,
“ What we want is to see the child in pursuit of knowledge and knowledge in pursuit of the child.”

Every good wish to each one of you.
