FAREWELL

Every Entry has an exit. Our students of class X and XII were bid farewell, after all the years of Schooling with us. The theme was ‘Metamorphosis’ and the change was welcomed in the head but the heart was reluctant. The habit of being in school is hard to break. The dance put up by the 9th graders as a medley but with refrain “It won't come back” caused the first tear to fall, then when, the XI graders danced to ‘Jail house rock’ and ‘I don’t want to go home’. The tears rolled. To lighten the mood a game “Show it and win it' was played. Theme based songs were sung by a group from Class IX and XI. The Yearbook for Class X and XII created by our XI graders was unveiled and every one appreciated the novel idea. The award ceremony was a much talked of affair and the winners in various categories Mr.CHIREC, Ms. CHIREC, Mr. & Ms. Talented, Popular, Charismatic, Diligent, Best Sports person carried home a Plaque, sash and a distinct joy. The programme ended with the Principal's best wishes, delectable refreshment and a special memento for all.

REPUBLIC DAY & GRANDPARENT'S DAY
|

The year 2012 has its own significance. As we celebrated our 62nd Republic Day, we also got to be a part of the centenary year celebration of our National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’. The day was celebrated with a lot of fervor in the school; songs like ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ reverberated in the premises and re-ignited the spirit of patriotism and love for the country amongst all.

Students from different sections put up special programs that highlighted the spirit of freedom and encompassed the joy and pride of being an Indian. Class III, IV and V students descended as angels, all in white, to salute Mother India through dance. Class VIII took us on a visual journey to savour the events in our history that led to our Independence and establishment of Nationhood. The tiny tots of Pre Primary dressed as important leaders and freedom fighters of India waved jubilantly at the audience, who watched their adorable parade.

Since we also celebrate Republic Day as Grandparents Day, each year we invite a grandparent to hoist our National flag. This year we were honoured to have grandparents of Gautham of PP II (JH), Sri. G. Krishna Garu and Smt. Vijayanirmala Garu as our special guests. They conveyed their good wishes to all. They also took salute of our trained march past brigade and graciously awarded prizes to our inter-house sports/games winners. The trophies were received by the house vice- captains.

The campus was overcrowded with grandparents who didn't wish to miss this day. Led by their loving grand children, the grandparents visited their grandchildren's class rooms to share some light hearted and heartwarming moments. They played, sang, danced, painted had refreshments, exchanged gifts and when it was time to leave, there was a smile on everyone's face.
The day was engrossing, uplifting, and will stay on in our memory fresh for longer than usual.
HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY AND MANY RETURNS OF GRANDPARENTS DAY !

INDUSTRIAL VISIT – SUMANGALAM ALUMINUM EXTRUSION PVT. LTD

Students of Class XI went on an industrial trip on Dec. 2, 2011, to study about the management aspects of the industry and metallurgical process involved in the manufacturing of aluminum. Students have keenly observed the various stages of production of aluminum extrusion through the process of shaping the aluminum by hydraulic pressure, which is one of the unique process of shaping aluminum. This company operates as an integral aluminum extrusion company and delivers product as per client’s requirements and specifications and assure that they persistently meet the precise requirements. They apply up to date quality system standards by using “spectrometer” to determine whether the chemical composition is in line with established standards and “Hot Top Casting” system that is used to form logs and PLC control for extrusion. This trip was truly informative.

Ability Unlimited Foundation (HANS Foundation)

CHIREC has been touched. 1800 students and around 200 staff members didn’t budge a minute, but were transfixed by the performances put up today. It was what I’d term Rapture. Out of this life’s varied experience. The special troop of differently-abled people, swept us off our feet. It didn’t matter which faith we belonged to, but we all experienced the same spiritual ecstasy. It brought tears to our eyes. The emotions just welled up to overflowing that words could not contain. This troupe should grow. It should reach far and wide and touch every heart and mind to transform the way we think and behave towards these WONDERS! Please click here for more pictures.

NOTE
Dear Parent,
After a review of the status of syllabus coverage in each class, we are convinced that from now a regular pace will help us tide through the remaining syllabus in sufficient time. The steps we took in the past have helped to safely position ourselves.

This change has a direct link to the conveyance facility. The previous bus route wherein the morning and afternoon bus route used to be the same will be applied now. Hence kindly note your child’s Bus Number. Please login to student zone for the details of routes
As per demand some classes will be held back till 4.00 p.m. Separate instructions will follow for them.
Hopefully we will follow this schedule till the end of the term, provided no obstacle presents itself.
Note: The School will function till 4:00 pm for classes XIIB and XIIC from 14.11.11.
Thank you
Regards,

National Recycling Day
On the morning of 19th October, 2011, 8 members of the cultural committee accompanied by Ms. Sreedevi Ma’am took part in the commemoration of ITCs National Recycling Day’s first anniversary at Begumpet Hockey stadium. This event was to create awareness and celebrate the success of saving 25,000 trees and supporting poor children in their education. 22 trees make one ton of paper. In 3 and half months, ITC used recyclable waste to make paper and saved 25,000 trees in this process. Their aim for this year is 1 lakh trees. This was an eye opener.
Mr. VVS Laxman was the chief guest and he was welcomed by the guard of honor and a prayer. Around 10 schools were present and we were entertained by magic tricks and light hearted mimicry. We also received goody bags containing candies and other confectionaries. We were also given ‘National Green Corps” ashes.
All in all, it was a great experience and we were glad to be part of it.
