In the Secondary Programme the focus is gradually shifted towards academically oriented activities in order to prepare the students for Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Examination (IGCSE).

Cambridge Secondary 2  programmme is for standards IX and  X. [This course will be available from 2012 onwards].

It has the following features.

  • Two year Cambridge University curriculum.
  • Learner-centred and enquiry-based approaches to learning.
  • It develops learners’ skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving, giving learners excellent preparation for the next stage in their education.

The Cambridge Secondary 2 curriculum places emphasis on broad and balanced study across a wide range of subjects.

The curriculum develops learners' skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving and is structured so that learners attain both practical skills and theoretical knowledge .

  • Assessment for Cambridge IGCSE includes written and oral tests, coursework and practical assessment
  • Cambridge IGCSE examination sessions occur twice a year, in May/June and October/November. Results are issued in August and January.
  • A total of five subjects have to be taken to get an IGCSE certification.
