CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL PRIMARY PROGRAMME

The Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP) gives a framework to develop
Mathematics, English and Science skills and knowledge in young children aged 5 to 11.The added
attraction of CIPP is that its modular nature allows it to complement other curricula.

At CHIREC, students of classes I and II are offered English and Mathematics from Cambridge along
with EVS and II Language while students of classes III onwards have English ,Mathematics and
Science from Cambridge along with Social Studies and II language.

English – Cambridge curriculum has greater emphasis on reading, writing and grammar.

Mathematics – Activities and Lab work aid in providing strong conceptual knowledge.

EVS– CHIREC has added EVS to the programme. The transition to Cambridge Science is smooth
through use of prescribed books and activities. From class III onwards, EVS bifurcates into the Science and Social Studies. Sience from Cambridge branches into Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The school has the flexibility to design
Social Studies curriculum based upon the country's social and cultural sensitivity.

II Language through Telugu, Hindi and French are offered from Class I upwards.

Evaluation is standardized and audited.
Learning is more interactive, analytical and project oriented.

CLASS ROOM FACILITIES

Cambridge classrooms have been especially designed, each to be a complete entity in itself. They are aesthetically set up and cater to a flexible seating plan. This enables the teacher to easily reach the child and give individual attention. There is a reading corner where those who have completed their work can seat themselves down on a rug or be comfortable on a cushion and immerse themselves in the world of words. Each classroom has technology within an arm's distance for the teacher to start any topic using a system and a projector. Interactive Whiteboard is used to its utmost.

CIPP progresses students seamlessly into the middle years curriculum such as Cambridge Lower Secondary programme

CAMBRIDGE LOWER SECONDARY PROGRAMME [CLSP]:

CLSP is a framework for educational success for students approximately 11 – 14 years.
It builds on the primary stage, and develops children's knowledge and interest in
Mathematics, English and Science.
CLSP also offers schools a means of tracking student progress through the lower secondarY
phase, with an integrated package of teaching, learning and assessment materials.
It bridges the gap between primary and middle secondary.
At the end of Lower Secondary, students can appear for the Cambridge Checkpoint tests.

Cambridge Checkpoint tests:
Checkpoint test is available in English, Mathematics and Science.
Cambridge Checkpoint tests provide detailed diagnostic feedback on a student's strengths and weaknesses in each topic within each subject. These tests are created and administered by CIE. However they are optional and their conduct is left to the discretion of the school.
After CLSP, the child can join the IGCSE programme
Cambridge IGCSE is recognized by universities worldwide.
